Dave Chappelle Will Host SNL’s First Post-Election Show
Saturday Night Live announced that comedian Dave Chappelle will be hosting its first post-election show on November 12th. It is Chappelle’s first time doing the show, and a rare public appearance for him. He hasn’t done much in the way of television since his critically acclaimed sketch show Chappelle’s Show was abruptly canceled after just three seasons in 2006, though he has done some stand-up shows, including 10 shows at Radio City in 2010.

The musical guest will be A Tribe Called Quest, another awesome get for the show. Twitter reactions to Chappelle’s return to TV have been overwhelmingly positive:

SNL always thrives during an election year, and this season has been no different. Chappelle is a professional and a sketch comedy master. With a lineup as solid as this one, it doesn’t look like they have much to worry about in the aftermath either.
