Roy Choi Announces Impromptu New York City Expansion Plan Via Twitter

Like the Beyonce of his genre: Roy Choi rolls out New York City expansion plan announcements via Twitter. It’s a slow new day today, by which we mean all the food-loving internet can talk about is their indignation and outrage over the fact that Union Square Cafe is being forced to shutter at the end of next year due to no longer being able to afford their rent.
Conditions are right, then, for a few wishful tweets from Roy Choi about potentially expanding his empire to New York to be turned into a speculative news story that eventually prompted him to say “fug it” and take the idea seriously. Guys, this is how Cronuts got famous on a slow food news day in May last year.
Kinda feels like a calling to open this place in NYC as my next restaurant. Ha! pic.twitter.com/HJw0rl6mmk
