Elon Musk’s Net Worth Plummets As Tesla Stock Tanks — Down Nearly $140 Billion Since December

Tesla’s stock price plummeted on Monday as the carmaker dropped some 13 percent midday amid ongoing investor concerns over how Elon Musk’s activities in the Trump administration are impacting business.
Fox Business host Ashleigh Webster reported on the drop earlier in the morning.

“Let’s take a look at Tesla. That stock also moving lower today, investors are concerned with Elon Musk’s focus on DOGE. They are worried about his leadership at the top EV maker in the US. Is he concentrating enough on that? The stock by the way down 50% since its high back in December. Down today another 8%,” Webster said as the stock continued to tank later in the day.

“And finally take a look at Palantir. The company is partnering with Voyager Technologies to develop AI-powered solutions for space domain awareness. What the heck is that? Well, in short, they are using AI to help prevent collisions in space. Now that I understand, Palantir down 7%,” Webster added, noting other tech stocks were also down.

“Tesla stock officially traded lower Monday than it did ahead of President Donald Trump’s November victory, wiping out what was once a 91% gain for shares of the electric vehicle company run by Trump lieutenant Elon Musk, as Tesla becomes the face of the ongoing stock market slide,” reported Forbes on the Tesla slide, adding:

$139.4 billion. That’s how much lower Musk’s $324.6 billion net worth is than his record $464 billion set in December, according to our latest calculations. Musk, Tesla’s largest shareholder, is still worth roughly $115 billion more than any other person on Earth. Musk’s net worth fell by $18 billion Monday amid Tesla stock’s drop.

As Musk has worked to gut the federal government, skirting Congressional authority over the budget, many Americans have protested by selling their Tesla cars. Tesla charging stations and dealerships have also been vandalized as anger at Musk boils over.
