Fox News Contributor Kat Timpf Receives Shocking Cancer Diagnosis Discovered Just Hours Before She Gave Birth

Fox News star Kat Timpf revealed how doctors diagnosed her with early-stage breast cancer just hours before giving birth to her first child.

Timpf, a familiar fixture on Fox News’ late-night panel show Gutfeld! who stayed on-air well into her third trimester, told the story in a statement posted on Instagram Tuesday.

“Last week, I welcomed my first child into the world. About fifteen hours before I went into labor, I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Timpf wrote. “My doctors say it’s stage zero and are confident that it almost certainly hasn’t spread.”

The timing of her diagnosis, she said, was nothing short of surreal.

“I woke up more-than-a-week-past-due pregnant, completely consumed by doing everything I could to get the baby out,” she recalled. “By the afternoon, I was waddling around from appointment to appointment, talking about how to get my cancer out.”

True to her signature comedic edge, she even joked about asking for a copy of her tumor ultrasound to put on the fridge next to her baby’s.

The conservative commentator, who married Army veteran Cameron Friscia in 2021, also revealed that she gave birth to a son.

Now on maternity leave, Timpf acknowledged that these next few months will look nothing like she expected.

“As I navigate new motherhood (and new cancer) I’m learning to celebrate everything I can,” she continued. “I’m lucky that we found the cancer so early; I’m lucky to be my son’s mom.”
