Geraldo Laments the State of House GOP Politics When the Speakership is Threatened By ‘A Douche Like Matt Gaetz’

Geraldo Rivera unloaded on Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and accused him of derailing the government with his revolution against House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

The former Fox News personality held back little on Tuesday as he got on X — the social media platform once known as Twitter — and denounced the push to remove McCarthy from his leadership position. Rivera did so by characterizing Gaetz as a “douche” and an attention-seeker whose goals boil down to causing political mayhem.

“Sad State of the Nation when House Speaker’s job is threatened by a douche like Matt Gaetz,” Rivera said. “Gaetz represents no one but himself. He is a narcissist and anarchist whose goals are chaos, disruption and attention. He doesn’t give a shit about governing or about anyone but himself.”

Rivera also voiced his disapproval for any House Democrats that go along with Gaetz’s motion and satisfy his cravings for attention. This as Gaetz claims that if McCarthy’s speakership survives, it will supposedly prove his subservience to Democrats.

“Shame on House Democrats if they roll over for Gaetz-this lowbrow attention addict,” Rivera said.
