One Trump pollster is laughing off Elon Musk’s threat to start a third party.

In a Monday afternoon post on X, Musk reignited his feud with his erstwhile ally and boss, President Donald Trump, over the latter’s “Big, Beautiful” spending bill, which the Senate went on to pass on Monday.

“It is obvious with the insane spending of this bill, which increases the debt ceiling by a record FIVE TRILLION DOLLARS that we live in a one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!,” wrote Musk before musing that it’s “Time for a new political party that actually cares about the people.”

In the days since, Musk has continued to rage against the bill as well as threaten to fund primary challengers to Republicans who vote for it, while Trump has, in turn, threatened to strip Musk’s companies of the federal contracts and subsidies they currently enjoy, as well as look into deporting the South African-born billionaire, who is a U.S. citizen.

Jim McLaughlin, a pollster for Trump, is not concerned about the political threat Musk poses to the president.

“I think it’s the ketamine talking in the middle of the night,” McLaughlin told The Washington Post. “Trump is the Republican Party right now. He is the conservative movement. There’s not a hankering for a third party with Elon Musk.”

A bombshell New York Times report published last month suggested that Musk was using ketamine — sometimes with other drugs, including ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms — so often that it was affecting his bladder.

“Mr. Musk had been using ketamine often, sometimes daily, and mixing it with other drugs, according to people familiar with his consumption. The line between medical use and recreation was blurry, troubling some people close to him,” explained the Times. “He also took Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms at private gatherings across the United States and in at least one other country, according to those who attended the events.”
