Jeff Bezos Falls on His Face as He Tries to Find Door to Spacecraft Carrying His Wife

Billionaire Jeff Bezos fell flat on his face as he circled the Blue Origin space capsule carrying his wife and an all-female crew shortly after it parachuted back to earth on Monday.

It all started when the Amazon founder rushed to find the door of the space capsule containing his wife, Lauren Sanchez, pop star Katy Perry, CBS’s Gayle King, and three other newly minted female space travelers.

As Bezos excitedly darted around the spacecraft, he apparently didn’t see a hole in the ground and tripped.

Bezos didn’t appear to be hurt, quickly standing up to reunite with Sanchez.

The vessel took off Monday morning and returned safely to Earth after the roughly 11-minute flight, including four minutes of weightlessness.

The automated mission was the first ever to feature an all-female crew.
