Joe Rogan Met Trump for Private Dinner – Just Days Before Ripping ‘Insane’ ICE Raids

Joe Rogan met President Donald Trump for a private dinner just days before publicly rebuking the president’s “insane” immigration raids as top MAGA donors reportedly pile pressure in favor of a deportation amnesty for migrant workers.
Rogan dined with Trump and UFC CEO Dana White on June 30, sources told The Washington Post Thursday, while also confirming that the podcaster has pushed the president behind-the-scenes to “back off” on deporting migrants who have no criminal record.
The dinner came three days before the podcast host blasted ICE raids “targeting migrant workers.”
In a July 3 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan agreed with Replit CEO Amjad Masad that the administration’s actions were “disappointing.”
“There’s two things that are insane,” Rogan said. “One is the targeting of migrant workers. Not cartel members, not gang members, not drug dealers. Just construction workers. Showing up in construction sites, raiding them. Gardeners. Like, really?”
He went further, calling attention to viral footage of ICE agents detaining a Turkish student at Tufts University who had written a critical essay about Israel.
“And that’s enough to get you kicked out of the country,” Rogan said.
In another episode on June 18, before the dinner, Rogan also condemned the deportations as something many Trump voters hadn’t “signed up for.”
“The Trump administration, if they’re running and they say, we’re going to go to Home Depot and we’re going to arrest all of the people at Home Depot, we’re going to construction sites and we’re just going to, like, tackle people at construction sites, I don’t think anybody would have signed up for that,” the host said at the time.
According to The Post, Rogan’s take lines up with growing unease among other prominent supporters and donors who, fresh off the passage of Trump’s megabill, are pressing for moderation to protect businesses reliant on immigrant labor.
Still, the administration remains defiant and in a statement to The Post, White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson said: “President Trump is fulfilling his promise to the American people to carry out the largest mass deportation operation in history. There will be no amnesty. Only deportations of the violent, criminal illegal aliens that Joe Biden welcomed into the country.”
