U.S. Military Reportedly Shoots Down Iranian Drones Attacking Israel
The United States military forces have reportedly shot down multiple Iranian drones heading towards on Saturday evening, according to a new report.
CNN’s Wolf Blitzer spoke with Lt Col Jonathan Conricus on CNN Newsroom about the attack, who said that Israel, U.S., and Sunni states in the Middle East have an opportunity to unite against Iran.
ABC News reported that a U.S. official confirmed to the outlet that the U.S. military shot down the Drones launched by Tehran. Fox News Digital also reported that at least one Iranian drone was neutralized by the U.S. military.
“U.S. forces in the region continue to shoot down Iranian-launched drones targeting Israel. Our forces remain postured to provide additional defensive support and to protect U.S. forces operating in the region,” a U.S. military official told Fox News Digital.
On Saturday, Iran launched more than 100 drones toward Israel and later ballistic missiles in a retaliatory attack for an airstrike on the Iranian consulate building in Syria that killed Tehran’s top commanders.

Per ABC News, The U.S. military has multiple military assets capably of neutralizing the Iranian targets across the region.
Prior to the attack, President Joe Biden vowed “ironclad” support of Israel if Iran was to launch a military strike, adding “We’re going to do all we can to protect Israel’s security.”
Reuters also reported on Saturday that Jordanian military also shot down dozens of Iranian drones.
