‘Pay Attention!’ Spirit Airlines Pilot Scolded for Getting Too Close to Air Force One
A Spirit Airlines pilot was scolded on Tuesday morning for not paying attention and getting too close to President Donald Trump’s official presidential aircraft, Air Force One.

ATC: Spirit 1300 turn 20 degrees right now.
ATC: Spirit wings 1300 turn 20 degrees right immediately.
Pilot: 20 degrees right. Spirit 1300.
ATC: Pay attention!
ATC: Spirit 1300 traffic’s off your left wing by 6, uh, 8 miles 747. I’m sure you can see who it is. Fly level 320 maintain 330.
ATC: Keep an eye out for me. White and Blue
ATC: Spirit 1300 descend and maintain flight level 270 expedite no delay.
The Spirit Airlines plane was reportedly flying from Fort Lauderdale to Boston at the time of the incident, while Air Force One was flying the president to London.
President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump landed at London Stansted Airport in the U.K. on Tuesday, before taking a Marine One helicopter to central London, according to the BBC.
On Wednesday, Trump is scheduled to meet with King Charles III at Windsor Castle, before meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers the day after.
