‘People Are Disappearing’: AOC Warns No One Is ‘Prepared For’ ICE ‘Explosion’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is warning her supporters that President Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill is every bit as tough on immigration as Trump and his allies have claimed.

The legislation reserves $170 billion to support the Trump administration’s immigration policy, including $45 billion for detention centers, $30 billion for ICE, and a little under $50 billion to go toward building Trump’s long promised border wall.

After the final version of the bill passed the House of Representatives on Thursday, Ocasio-Cortez took to Bluesky to sound the alarm.

“I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE,” she began. “This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion – making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.”

“It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing,” added the prominent congresswoman.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for policy Stephen Miller recently told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham that the bill represents “the most robust, comprehensive border security and immigration enforcement package we’ve ever seen. One that will allow us to deport millions upon millions of invaders.”

“To oppose this bill is to support the invasion,” he added.
