‘This Is Real!’ Trump Stuns Social Media By Posting AI-Generated Photo Of Himself As The New Pope

President Donald Trump stunned social media users when he posted an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-generated image depicting himself as the next Pope Don John The First.

88-year-old Pope Francis passed away almost two weeks ago, and Trump attended the late Pontiff’s funeral last Saturday. When asked who should succeed Pope Francis, Trump joked that it should be himself.

Not to be outdone, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Catholics and cardinals to keep an open mind.

But Trump capped off a week in which he led a National Prayer Service event at the White House by using the Holy See as a social media punchline to his ongoing Trump-For-Pope troll.

Late in the evening Friday night, Trump posted the pseudo-papal pic without caption to his Truth Social account:

The post drew stunned reaction across social media, even from some of his own Truth Social followers.

One reply read “I’m an evangelical Christian, never been catholic but I really wish you hadn’t shared this (your interview suggestion at being Pope was a bit cringy in itself) but this is borderline sacrilegious no matter what your beliefs. Why must we fuel the fake news fires?”

Another wrote “With all due respect I don’t find this funny at all. What’s the point ? Totally unnecessary. And I’m speaking as a maga supporter, a true follower and of course and more important, as a Catholic. Instead of uniting with this mockery you’re dividing.”

On X/Twitter, the reactions were more frank:
