Trump and Melania’s Seemingly ‘Brisk’ Convo at Indycar Race Goes Viral

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were seen having a tense exchange during Sunday’s IndyCar race in Washington, D.C.

After months of planning — and hyped by the president — IndyCar finally held the Freedom 250 Grand Prix on Sunday. The circuit was constructed on the National Mall, marking the first time such a race was held in D.C.

At one point during the race, a camera was trained on the president and first lady as they appeared to be having a tense discussion about something. In the clip posted online, Melania could be seen speaking directly into Trump’s ear. Trump then nodded his head and responded with words of his own, prompting Melania — with a very contentious expression on her face — to say something back. They continued going back and forth before Melania eventually looked away at the end of the clip.

In terms of what was said, no one knows for sure — but U.K. outlet Metro enlisted the help of a professional lip reader to decipher the moment.

According to the lip reader, Melania said something about a “private and valuable text.” Moments later, the first lady appeared to say, “Donald, listen, I’m gonna go.” In response, the president allegedly said, “It’s bad news, but it’s a bad timing, Melania.” The lip reader claimed Trump then said, “I’ve had enough of her.”

It’s unclear who Trump may have been referring to, but social media users speculated the conversation was about Natalie Harp, Trump’s executive assistant.

Trump’s assistant was also at the event. In another video, Melania got out of her seat shortly after Harp approached the couple.

Harp has been at the center of a media frenzy after her name was mentioned in a rally speech by Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA). Since then, outlets have begun digging deeper into her relationship with the president.

Last week, The Daily Beast revealed letters to Trump that were penned by Harp, who at one point said, “It is I who is unworthy.”
