President Donald Trump is acquiring thousands of military costumes to be used in Saturday’s massive parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States Army.
Peter Rothpletz reported on Tuesday through Don Lemon’s show and Substack that the Trump administration is seeking to get approximately 2,000 historical military costumes, which will be used in Saturday’s parade in Washington, D.C. The massive parade also falls on Trump’s 79th birthday.
Citing multiple sources familiar with the situation, Rothpletz reported that the Trump administration is going through the Motion Picture Costuming Company (MPCC), which refused to comment, to acquire historical military costumes that would be used to show the evolution of the United States military from the Revolutionary War to today. Costume designers are reportedly fitting more than 1,500 who will participate in the parade, some of whom will be actors.

“We have tanks, we have planes, we have all sorts of things, and I think it is going to be great,” Trump told reporters at the White House about the parade. “We are going to celebrate our country for a change.”
Trump threatened potential protesters this week that they will be met with “very big force” should they choose to disrupt the upcoming parade. Los Angeles has been dealing with spreading protests as activists oppose ICE’s deportation efforts under Trump.
“By the way, for those people that want to protest, they’re going to be met with very big force — and I haven’t even heard about a protest,” the president warned about Saturday. “But, you know, this is — people that hate our country. But they will be met with a very heavy force.”
