WATCH: Jesse Watters Asks Jersey Shore’s The Situation (Yes, Really) for His Thoughts About Hunter Biden
When you think prime time cable news guests, you think members of Congress, or top legal analysts, or big-name pundits. You probably don’t think about reality TV stars, and you almost certainly don’t think about Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino from Jersey Shore.
Yet there he was Monday night on Jesse Watters Primetime — talking to the Fox News host about his chaotic rise and fall, and recovery from addiction following a brief stint in jail for tax evasion.
“I’m not comparing you to Hunter Biden, he’s like a 50-year old man,” Watters joked. “I compare him to Patrick Mahomes.”
But later in the interview, Watters did indeed solicit The Situation’s thoughts on the president’s son — days after he was hit with nine new federal charges, including three felonies. Watters posited that Hunter Biden will get off with a slap on the wrist — despite the fact that the charges he faces could put him in prison for up to 17 years.
“Now, you had to go to prison,” Watters said. “I don’t think Hunter’s probably going to go to prison. He’ll probably get pardoned or get a sweetheart deal. Do you feel any sort of animosity there about the double standard?”
If it were a different time in his life, one could very easily see The Situation mixing it up — as though he were throwing down with a bouncer at Karma. But instead, the new, mellow Situation demurred.
“I’ll be honest with you, I really can’t compare us; we live two different lives,” the reality star said. He added, “I wouldn’t be the man I am today if I didn’t make those mistakes. But again, I can’t compare myself to another man.”
“And you didn’t have some rich donor paying your back taxes to the IRS,” Watters snarked.
