Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, took to social media Monday to mock a letter written by First Lady Melania Trump in which she called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to protect “the innocence” of children.
The letter, dated August 15th, was addressed directly to Mr. Putin, and urged him to “implement this vision with the stroke of a pen today.”
In a post on X Monday, Schlossberg donned a blonde wig while reading the full text of the letter in an accent that mimicked the First Lady’s. At the conclusion of the letter, Schlossberg added, “What am I saying? This make no sense. Please be more specific Ms. Melania Trump.”
The message on X reads, “A message from our BEAUTIFUL FIRST LADY thank you for your attention to this matter !!” The last line references a common conclusory phrase of President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts.
The former president’s grandson frequently airs his grievances online. In the past he has publicly criticized CNN hosts, podcaster Joe Rogan, and his cousin, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr.. Schlossberg also has a longstanding feud with The New York Post, which he has accused of making anti-Semitic comments about him.

Dear President Putin,
Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation’s rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger.
As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation’s hope. As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few. Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all – so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded.
A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation’s descendants begin their lives with a purity – an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology.
Yet in today’s world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them — a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future. Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter.
In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone — you serve humanity itself. Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today.
It is time.
Sincerely,
Melania Trump
