WATCH: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani Turns Tail and Runs After He’s Pummeled With Boos at Pro-Police Event

Residents of New York City’s “Forgotten Borough” easily remembered how they feel about Mayor Zohran Mamdani, relentlessly booing the Democratic Socialist off stage at a police event, social media videos showed.

Mamdani kept a smile plastered on his face throughout his brief appearance Tuesday at National Night Out in Midland Beach, Staten Island.

With about 3,500 people and families on hand at the boardwalk for the 43rd annual event, where police departments nationwide gather with the community for family-oriented events, Mamdani energetically bounded up to the stage — even as a torrent of anger erupted from the crowd.

Clips circulating on X and Instagram show the mayor speaking at a podium while those in the crowd yelled, “Booo!”

“It’s a pleasure to be here,” Mamdani can be heard saying, as beefy NYPD officers appeared to hold back artist and activist Scott Lobaido, who rushed toward the stage to yell at the mayor, repeatedly pointing his finger at Hizzoner for emphasis before being ushered back.

Another could be heard on the clip yelling: “Get out of here! Nobody wants you here!”

Mamdani speaks for under a minute before shaking hands with several people on stage, smiling at the crowd one last time, and quickly leaving.

The mayor has been a target of conservative ire since his November election, and has earned widespread criticism for his plans, including free NYC grocery stores and free buses.

It was the second brush-off in a matter of days for Mamdani, who was also refused a chance to speak at a funeral for a fallen soldier.

Lobaido was later rushed to the hospital in critical condition after going into cardiac arrest at the event, according to SI Live.

The Staten Islander is notorious for his various art projects and stunts, including an arrest for blocking a speed camera on Staten Island with flowers; placing mock traffic signs with an image of President Donald Trump in silhouette around NYC; and doing a massive balloon release outside Trump’s trial in downtown New York as he faced accusations of paying hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
