‘What More Can She Do!’ Trump Goes to Bat For Pam Bondi Over Epstein Backlash

President Donald Trump went to bat for Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying she’s doing a “terrific” job despite backlash against her over the Epstein Files.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Wednesday, Trump said he is in favor of Bondi releasing “credible” documents related to the Epstein case. He praised Bondi when it was pointed out that she and other officials have made “inconsistent statements” about the Epstein case in the past.

“I really think that she’s done very good. She says, I gave you all the credible information. And if she finds any more credible information, she’ll give that too. What more can she do than that? I mean, honestly, what more can she do?” Trump said.

The president argued there are “bigger problems” than Epstein, like the southern border.

“She’s got a lot of things she’s working on. And, you know, it’s very sad that somebody can be waylaid, they just get waylaid, but she’s — I think she’s doing a great job,” he said.

Trump has begun lashing out at his own supporters over their displeasure with the handling of the Epstein case. The late billionaire Jeffrey Epstein died of apparent suicide in 2019 while being charged with sex trafficking. The already-convicted child predator quickly became the center of numerous conspiracy theories, many of them referencing a list of high-profile clients who took part in Epstein’s decades of alleged abuse.

A Department of Justice/FBI memo earlier in the month denied the existence of an Epstein list, igniting immediate backlash from MAGA supporters.

In a Truth Social post on Wednesday morning, the president dismissed the Epstein Files as a “hoax” and said he doesn’t want the support of anyone who buys into the “bullshit.” At the White House, Trump again attacked his supporters, claiming they were “duped” by Democrats.

Bondi has received much of the backlash over the Epstein Files from MAGA supporters. The attorney general made reference to an Epstein client list sitting on her desk in a February interview with Fox News.
