Brett Cooper Torches Kash Patel as a Hypocrite Who’s Now ‘Standing for Everything’ He ‘Once Stood Against’
Fox News contributor and former Daily Wire host Brett Cooper held nothing back when criticizing FBI Director Kash Patel, arguing he’s become “everything” he once “hated” during his time with the Trump administration.
On The Brett Cooper Show this week, Cooper took aim at Patel over reports he used a government jet recently to see his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, perform. Patel dismissed the reports as “fake news” while Ben Williamson, the FBI’s Assistant Director for Public Affairs, defended the usage, saying Patel pays a reimbursement in advance for such flights.
Cooper isn’t buying any of it.
“Kash is not required to reimburse the government for the entire cost of the jet, the tens of thousands of dollars per flight. He just has to pay the commercial equivalent,” she said.
She noted Patel himself had criticized government officials using “government-funded” private jets, including former FBI Director Chris Wray.
“For years [before he was FBI Director], as a podcaster, sitting on the sidelines, he has been criticizing people in government, specifically former directors of the FBI, for doing this exact same thing,” Cooper said.
She added, “You are in the exact same position as Chris Wray, and you are now standing for everything you once stood against.”
The conservative pundit laughed at the idea that Patel represents a “transparent administration.”
“I thought you were ‘The Transparent Administration?’ That’s what you were running on. You wanted everything exposed! You wanted the Epstein list revealed. You wanted everything about JFK revealed, but oh no, Americans who are footing the bill, we can’t see where you are flying on your private jet!” she said.
Cooper blasted Patel’s handling of the situation, including 27-year FBI veteran Steven Palmer being removed from his position amid the backlash to the flight reports.
She called Patel’s statement, lashing out at critics, saying, “Every single wrong move has been made.”
“How is this Steven Palmer’s fault?” Cooper asked. “That he didn’t protect you from the media cycle, the media spin, when all of [your flight path details] are public information. As it should be!”
