Dan Abrams Shuts Down Caller for Saying Mueller Should Be ‘Executed For Sedition and Treason’

On Tuesday, Mediaite founder and ABC News Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams shut down a caller to his SiriusXM broadcast of The Dan Abrams Show for advocating the execution of Special Counsel Robert Mueller for “treason”.

The caller, “Steve” from New York, was on for several minutes discussing the Trump/Russia probe and the media before he made the comment that prompted the cut. Abrams offered the caller the last word, and that’s when he made the statement, after which Abrams dressed him down.

“The final word with this whole fiasco, for me, as an average guy, is I just wanted one question answered: Did the Russians actually manipulate the vote totals? The answer to that is no, so this whole thing is a big waste of time, and this whole thing opens up America’s eyes as to the left-wing bias of the Justice Department,” said the caller.

“I mean, I know this is extreme, but I think Mueller should be executed for sedition and treason,” said “Steve”.

At that point, Abrams stopped the call.

“Okay, this has been–now you see Steve, I was ready to take you at your face, now I’m going to say goodbye to you, because that’s just sort of stupid nonsense,” said Abrams.

“You know, look, you can think a lot of things in this case… there’s not a single modicum of evidence that Robert Mueller has done any– Robert Mueller is a life-long Republican,” Abrams said. “I just love the fact that he’s the boogeyman.”

“Steve, I’m sorry, I’m not even going to thank you for the call, after that sort of absurdity,” he said.

In the longer clip below, starting at around 3 minutes in, you can hear the full call from Steve, during which Abrams and his guest, CNN Legal Analyst Paul Callan, did take the caller at face value and spent several minutes discussing his points.
