Charles Barkley Calls WNBA Players ‘Petty’ for Treatment of Caitlin Clark: ‘She Got Y’all A** Charters!’

Charles Barkley called out WNBA players for what he perceived as “petty” treatment toward Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

Throughout the first five games of her WNBA career, there have been growing pains as the young guard adjusts to competition at the professional level. This has led some basketball fans online to believe that the other WNBA players — perhaps jealous of Clark’s immediate popularity — are deliberately taking that frustration out on Clark.

Judging by his rant, Barkley seems to share that sentiment.

“You women out there, y’all are petty, man!” Barkley said on Wednesday’s episode of Inside the NBA. “[LeBron James], you’re 100% right on these girls hating on Clark. Y’all are petty, girls! I expect men to be petty because we’re the most insecure group in the world. Y’all should be thanking that girl for getting y’all ass private charters [and] all the money and visibility she’s bringing to the WNBA. Don’t be petty like dudes!

“Listen, what she’s accomplished, give her her flowers! Stop being petty, all you women out there! She got y’all ass charters! She’s bringing all y’all this money to the table, but y’all are being petty like dudes! LeBron, you’re 100% right. Y’all girls stop being petty! Caitlin Clark, thank you for bringing all that money and shine to the WNBA.”
