WATCH: Former NFL QB Cam Newton Attacked By Multiple People at Football Camp

Cam Newton was involved in a fight over the weekend when several men attacked him at a 7-on-7 youth football tournament in Atlanta.
Newton, 34, was in Atlanta for the We Ball Sports x DynastyU tournament at B.E.S.T. Academy. The former NFL quarterback founded the youth team C1N in 2011, and that team won the event’s 15-and-under championship.

At some point in the day, however, Newton got into an altercation with someone. In a video posted online, Newton can be seen at the top of a set of stairs holding someone by the collar. Suddenly, a second man jumps in and throws a punch at Newton.
The scuffle then made its way to a nearby fence, where Newton continued defending himself against a flurry of punches. Newton does not appear to throw any punches, but simply grabbed the men in an attempt to restrain them.

As reported by ESPN, it’s unclear what the fight was about. Newton has not commented on the situation.
