Now might be a good time to get some lottery numbers from Yonder Alonso.
The MLB Network analyst and former first baseman was an absolute psychic Tuesday night when he not only predicted that Yankees slugger Aaron Judge was going to hit a home run, but that it was going to be a monster of a shot.
“Matty, he’s gonna go deep right here,” Alonso told fellow commentator Matt Vasgersian as Judge took a pitch from Kansas City Royals pitcher Noah Cameron. “The way he took that pitch right there, I mean, it’s going to be loud when he decides to swing.”
Two pitches later, Judge smacked an absolute screamer into orbit, his 24th home run of the year.
“Ah, you called it, dude,” Vasgersian said as the ball soared over the wall — and nearly out of the stadium.
The 469-foot bomb was one of the longest ever recorded at Kansas City’s Kauffman Stadium, according to KCTV5.
