Angry Town Hall Attendee Tells House Republican, ‘Take Your Head Out of Trump’s Ass’

A town hall attendee told Rep. Mark Alford (R-MO) to remove his head from President Donald Trump’s rear end.

Alford held the forum on Monday in Bolivar, Missouri, where the Republican took questions from constituents.

Since joining Congress in 2023, Alford has made a name for himself as an austerity-minded lawmaker. In the past year, he has suggested raising the retirement age for Social Security, told fired federal workers whose terminations he supported that “God has a plan” for them, and demanded that Medicaid recipients in his state justify their benefits.

On Monday night, a constituent who identified himself as Fred Higginbotham demanded that Alford justify his legislative performance and his support of Trump.

“I’ve lived in Polk County since ’98,” Higginbotham began. “I was a firefighter in California. I saw what could happen when a state works together with its people. This state does not know how to do that.”

He went on to say that he is “pissed” at the congressman before ripping Trump.

“The man is a dictator,” Higginbotham said. “He knows nothing about what he talks about. I listened to him for about a half hour today, and I got sick at all the lies he brought up. Now, I’m about ready to lose my farm.”

He went on to explain that he has had difficulty navigating Missouri’s laws regarding trusts and that he had sought help from Alford’s office to no avail. Higginbotham then pivoted to the federal budget.

“You wanna straighten out the budget?” he said. “Start taxing corporations and the wealthy.” Some in the audience applauded. “Do you think we’re idiots? Do you think we don’t pay taxes? Do you think that we don’t have to make budgets?”

The town hall attendee added, “Believe me, you are not helping me. You need to take your head out of Trump’s ass and start doing your representation of us.”

Alford thanked Higginbotham for the question and said he would follow up with his staff regarding the farm.

“We’ll be glad to work with you,” the lawmaker said. “I really want to have an open line of communication. You know, sometimes I’m even in my office, and my staff doesn’t really like this, but I answer the phone. When I’m in the district and when I’m in D.C. If I have free time, I’m not in a committee meeting or on the house floor, I like to answer the phone because I like to hear from people like you.”
