Bill O’Reilly Says Anyone Who Votes for Mamdani Is ‘Committing an Act of Evil’

Bill O’Reilly said that any New Yorker who votes for state Rep. Zohran Mamdani to be the next mayor is “committing an act of evil.”

Mamdani, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, won the Democratic nomination in June by defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is mounting a third-party bid. Both are trying to unseat Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat who is running as an independent.

Some establishment Democrats reacted to Mamdani’s victory with alarm. Notably, the two top-ranking Democrats in Congress – Sen. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who are both New Yorkers – have so far declined to endorse the Democratic mayoral nominee.

O’Reilly, a frequent NewsNation guest, appeared on Monday’s On Balance, where he told host Leland Vittert in no uncertain terms that voting for Mamdani is straight up “pure evil.”

“We’re about, in New York City, to elect a mayor who simply will not enforce any laws,” he claimed. “Any laws! It is gonna be anarchy and blood in the streets. And anybody who votes for that Mamdani is, in my opinion, committing an act of evil. Pull a lever for that man. You are responsible for what happens later.”

“Oh come on,” replied Vittert, who is no fan of Mamdani’s. “You’re gonna blame people who are voting, saying, ‘Hey, look, I can’t afford groceries. This guy’s talking about giving me and my family a better life,’ and they’re evil?”

“If you are not smart enough to know the man you’re voting for has said out of his own mouth that he does not believe in incarceration, that he has called the NYPD racist, that he wants to knock out the gang investigation unit, and you pull that lever, you’re enabling evil.”

O’Reilly then pivoted to the 1934 German referendum, which resulted in Hitler getting sweeping powers.

“In 1934. Hindenburg died in Germany, the president,” he continued. “Hitler was the chancellor. There was a referendum. Yes or no. Give Adolf Hitler dictatorial powers. Ninety percent of the German population voted yes, so they got blood on their hands.”
