Chris Matthews Has Never Been “Felt Up” At Airport, Thinks TSA Controversy Has Been “Ginned Up” By The Right
Chris Matthews certainly seems less upset about the new TSA measures than a lot of the folks we’ve heard from. Instead, he thinks the Right has been “ginning up” the controversy and that the alternate would be worse, imagining the reaction “five minutes” after a terrorist attack if the Obama administration hadn’t set up strict security measures. Really though, the reaction would be a thousand times worse if there was a terrorist attack with these protocols.
Later in the show, he and Eugene Robinson discussed their own trips through airport security and how it really isn’t that bad. Robinson said he didn’t mind the body scanner while Matthews promised that he had never once been “felt up” by the guards. In fact, the only thing he did mind was the part where he had to show his driver’s license. Matthews felt that part was “Mickey Mouse” because there are so many fake licenses floating around.
And, so, the debate over whether the TSA procedures are “Mickey Mouse,” “Goofy,” or “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit” rages on.
