CNN’s Piers Morgan Describes Screaming Like “A Little Overexcited Piglet” Watching Soccer Match
If you follow CNN’s Piers Morgan on Twitter, you probably know he spent the afternoon in his office, watching his favorite English soccer team, Arsenal, defeat the team widely regarded as the best in the world, Barcelona. (Full disclosure: I also watched the match at Mediaite World HQ, and also cluttered my Twitter stream with endless tweets about Arsenal’s amazing, outrageous, historic come-from-behind victory)
Unfortunately for Morgan, people at CNN heard his girlish squeals and investigated–with a camera. Apparently still giddy from the big win (Morgan had warned his Twitter followers that, should Arsenal win today’s match, he would be “completely and utterly, gloatingly, unbearable,” which doesn’t sound like that much of a change, actually.
But confronted with a question about his screaming, Morgan confessed to CNN’s Steve Krakauer that given the magnitude of the win (the score was 2-1, but look, it was a bigger deal than it sounds, trust me), he felt as excited as “a little overexcited piglet” after watching such a thrilling game. (And getting paid for it, right?)
“It’s the most exciting thing in the world,” he says.
