Don Lemon and Jay Leno Roast Each Other During College Commencement

As of this past weekend, it’s Dr. Don Lemon and Dr. Jay Leno to you. Both men received honorary doctorates at Emerson College in Boston, and during their respective speeches they landed some pretty spot-on jokes about each other.

CNN reported on the commencement ceremony on Sunday, showing clips from each speech. While Lemon’s line sounded pretty scripted, Leno’s response was likely improvised.

Lemon on Leno:

“Couldn’t Emerson have gotten someone with a job to give their commencement address?”

Leno on Lemon:

“I want to thank Don Lemon for taking time out from looking for that airplane to be here today. I know you’ve got to get back.”

Lemon shared this selfie with Leno on Twitter the day before they received their degrees:
