Fox Hosts on Obama Revealing Failed Foley Raid: ‘What Ever Happened to No Comment?’
Outnumbered cohost Harris Faulkner and her panel excoriated the Obama administration Thursday for revealing the existence of a failed raid to recover captured American journalist James Foley, who was beheaded earlier this week by ISIS, alleging the release of details could imperil future missions and even the U.S.’s role in the region.
“Two Defense Department officials say that they cannot believe the details that have been given out through the Obama administration about this attempted rescue mission,” Faulkner said. “Whatever happened to ‘No comment’? The administration does that all the time!”
Faulkner said the information could jeopardize “not just the future operations, the very next one down the line.”
“I’m trying to think of what kind of reason could possibly exist why they would do that,” Jedidiah Bila said. “Was it to look more proactive? Was it because they wanted to look politically like we were involved, like we were engaged? If you say yes, you have to consider that is potentially worth risking our future involvement in that region and our future position of power. …So is Barack Obama willing to do that in order to seem to be politically engaged in this? If so, that’s a dangerous position for this president to take.”
