Fox News Resurfaces Video of Gavin Newsom ‘Knocking Down Chinese Kids Like Bowling Pins’
Fox News host Jesse Watters resurfaced a video of California Gov. Gavin Newsom “knocking down Chinese kids like bowling pins” on Wednesday during a segment railing against the potential 2028 Democratic presidential candidate.
“Maybe Newsom should try the Pete-Bobby challenge: 100 push-ups, 50 pull-ups in 10 minutes,” said Watters on his show Jesse Watters Primetime. “Let’s see what he’s got, ’cause last time we looked he was knocking down Chinese kids like bowling pins.”
Watters then played a video of Newsom accidentally knocking over and falling on a child while playing basketball during a 2023 trip to Beijing.
“I gotta work up my balance,” said Newsom at the time after knocking over the child. “Tell everyone I didn’t miss a shot.”
Watters concluded, “Kind of had a nice handle on it. The difference is Trump writes his own tweets. Gavin can’t even get it up himself.”
Newsom is not the only politician to have been caught on camera knocking over a small Asian child.
In 2015, Boris Johnson – who would later go on to become prime minister of the United Kingdom – accidentally tackled a 10-year-old Japanese boy during a game of football.
“I’m so sorry,” apologized Johnson to the boy, who was reportedly left in pain after being hit by the self-admitted “way overweight” politician.
The boy told reporters, “I felt a little bit of pain but it’s OK.”
