From Colbert to Conan: Watch the Last 8 Nerd Prom Speeches
This Saturday night, May 3, Joel McHale will serve as host for the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner (or “Nerd Prom”), a tradition that dates all the way back to 1944. The lineup of comedians who have performed over the last several years reads like a who’s who of late night, with the only major names missing being The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart and The Tonight Show’s Jimmy Fallon.
Mediaite will be covering the event live, but before then, here’s a look back at the last eight comedians who bravely took the stage next to the president and delivered their best political material to the Washington media and the world.
