Grizzled War Veteran Puppet Creeps Everyone Out On SNL

During its 38th season premiere, Saturday Night Live cast-member Bill Hader‘s grizzled war veteran attended a puppeteering class hosted by Seth MacFarlane, creeping everyone out with his hilariously awful war stories.

In a puppet class filled with the usual cutesy characters, Hader’s puppet was a Grenada war vet with a mullet and aviator sunglasses. Every time the other puppets got anywhere near flowery rhetoric, the grizzled puppet brought everyone back into the Grenada trenches with him to talk about horrible war things.

One female puppet reminded him of “daddy’s little girl” back in Grenada, recalling the stereotypical Vietnam war veteran who fell in love with a younger girl in Saigon.
