There was a disruption at Gina Haspel‘s CIA director confirmation hearing, thanks to a protester who railed against her controversial record with enhanced interrogation techniques.

The Senate Intelligence Committee grilled Haspel today with many questions about her involvement in the torturous practices at a Bush-era “black site” prison in Thailand. As Haspel fielded questions on this matter, she was cut off at one point when a heckler stood up and started yelling.

Capitol police moved to escort the protester out at once, though she kept screaming “Bloody Gina! You are a torturer!”
