It’s Friday, So Let’s Watch A Man Get Awkwardly Friendzoned On Let’s Make A Deal

This is a story about Jessie and Steve.

Jessie and Steve went on Let’s Make A Deal during the show’s prom special. Host Wayne Brady asked how long Jessie and Steve had been together, to which Steve answered, “About six months.”

But Jessie had some other ideas.

After laughing the most nervous, uncomfortable laugh ever heard in the halls of Let’s Make A Deal, or anywhere else in the world, for that matter, Jessie leaned into the microphone and asserted her non-association with Steve.

Ah yes, she uttered the two words every hopeful romantic hates to hear: “We’re friends.”

As Brady and the audience fell into an awkward silence, she made it even more painfully clear. “We’re just friends, but he wants to ––”

“Can we talk about this not in front of everyone, Jessie?” Steve interjected.

So clearly one of two things is happening here, guys: 1. Steve has been dogged about being with Jessie and she’s made it TOTALLY clear that she just wants to be friends, or 2. Steve and Jessie have been acting like a couple but Jessie wants to play the field so she’s being a massive jerk to Steve on television.

And yes, Brady did his best to move on before things got even more uncomfortable.
