Kidnapping Victim Amanda Berry’s Sister Speaks: Thanks Everyone For Support…
On Wednesday morning, Cleveland kidnapping victim Amanda Berry was supposedly going to address the public for the first time since her escape from a captors’ home along with her daughter and two other women. Instead, her sister Beth Serrano gave a brief statement.
Berry disappeared ten years ago at the age of 16; she reportedly gave birth to a daughter, six years ago, while in captivity. She was kidnapped along with Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight — both of whom are also unlikely to make press statements in the coming days.
Speaking outside her home in Cleveland, Beth told a large gathering of neighbors and a swarm of press that Berry is doing fine and that the family asks for privacy while they try to recover from the horrific ordeal. No questions were allowed.
