Kilmeade: Obama’s (Maybe Fictional) Ebola Plan ‘Makes GITMO Seem Reasonable’
Your daily #hottake: Fox & Friends Brian Kilmeade said the government’s plan to bring foreign ebola patients to the U.S. is a worse idea than GITMO.
What plan? House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) told The Kelly File last night that there was “increasing evidence” that the government was planning to import ebola patients, (presumably for treatment and/or research?) though he did not elaborate on that evidence.
Kilmeade’s not having it with this imaginary plan. “Unless we come up with a cure, which they are working on, I don’t see any way there is a single lawmaker that would support the president bringing a single infected person from west Africa back to the United States,” he said Tuesday morning. “We can bring people with a contagious deadly disease with a 50% mortality rate to our shores? That makes the GITMO thing seem reasonable!”
Recall that the last time someone on Fox News had “evidence” for a smoking gun within the administration, it turned out to just be smoke.
