Visibly Confused Laura Ingraham Shoots a Look Off-Camera After GOP Senator’s X-Rated Gaffe

Fox News host Laura Ingraham commendably kept a straight face and the show moving after Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) committed an X-Rated on-air gaffe while misquoting a Democrat’s private praise for President Donald Trump’s Iran strikes as a moment that would go down in the “anals of American history.”

Moreno appeared on The Ingraham Angle Thursday to defend the Trump administration’s strike in Iran, but used the segment to slam Democrats for what he called “grotesque political behavior” in regard to the attack while, according to him, commending it in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) briefing.

The Fox News host teed up the moment by suggesting that Democrats were eager to see Trump “tried before The Hague,” calling their attempts to downplay the strike’s success “a new low.”

“One of the Democrats you just had on your program was in the confidential briefing in the SCIF today,” Moreno told Ingraham. “And said to General Kaine ‘that operation that you ran will go down in anals of American history as the greatest military operation ever conducted.'”

Knowing what he meant, Ingraham powered on — kudos to her — with only one fleeting confused glance off-camera.

He continued and accused Democrats of hypocrisy and political sabotage: “They then go on TV and do everything possible politically to undermine the administration. This is not what they believe. This is just pure political grotesque behavior. It infuriates me.”

When pressed by the host on who the Democrat was, Moreno refused reveal the name.
