Megyn Kelly Calls Out White House Hypocrisy on Sam Bee: ‘They’re Upset About a Sexist, Crude Remark?’

Megyn Kelly was appalled by Samantha Bee‘s comments about Ivanka Trump, but she also found the Trump administration’s response remarkably hypocritical.
Kelly responded to Bee’s remarks by tweeting, “This is disgusting. How is this acceptable? And how are we expected to take any of these publications seriously if they gleefully repost something like this at the same time they (rightfully) condemn @therealroseanne? You know the saying Love is Love? Well Hate is Hate.”
On hew show today, Kelly said there is indeed a media double standard when it’s a conservative woman under attack vs. a liberal one.
“But,” she continued, “it’s also the height of hypocrisy for the Trump White House to say there’s a double standard when it comes to––like, they’re upset about a sexist, crude remark? The Trump White House?! Like, are they kidding me?!”
President Trump, of course, has a history of making nasty remarks about women, which range from “grab ’em by the pussy” to the way he insulted the looks of some of the women who accused him of sexual misconduct during the campaign.
Kelly brought up that infamous debate moment when she had confronted Trump with “just a small sampling of his sexist remarks.” Trump essentially shrugged it off, and as she noted a lot of people still embraced him despite all of it.
“They should’ve let somebody else make the argument,” Kelly concluded.
This morning the President questioned why Bee hasn’t been fired yet:
