MSNBC Guest: Public Fine with ‘Asking Questions Afterwards’ on ISIS Strikes

 

Ahead of President Barack Obama’s speech Wednesday night outlining military action against ISIS, Morning Joe regular panelist Harold Ford said that polls showed the American public was ready to support strikes against the Sunni militants. “It’s a proverbial moment where the country is willing to ask questions afterwards,” Ford said. (Let’s call this the Bill Kristol strategy.)

Ford pointed out that Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN), the Democrat who had spoken before him, even recognized the need for action. “I think the president has a willing Congress tonight,” Ford said.
