MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts Is an Instagram Oversharer

For a fairly high-profile news anchor, MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts is surprisingly unbuttoned. And I mean “unbuttoned” literally.

Perhaps more than any other national news figure, save Geraldo Rivera, Roberts seems always ready to Instagram or tweet a photo of himself flexing, posing endlessly with his husband Patrick Abner, or resting half-naked in bed.

Is it wrong? No. Is it weird? A little. Is it tacky? For a 42-year-old man to caption photos of himself lifting weights, “Get pumped” and then share it with the world — is there any doubt?

Here now is a brief history of Roberts’ tendency to overshare.

The aforementioned gym selfie:

The Superman onesie selfie:

The odd shot of his husband working out:

The flexing mirror selfie in which Roberts is seen wearing a shirt that still has the retail tag on it:

Rain, Rain, Go away – we live to play another day #wewontstop @Orioles

The latest, a questionable photo of Roberts, taken by his husband (but shared on Roberts’ Instagram), apparently asleep in bed with the blanket pulled down below his nipples:

Now that we’re all in bed with Roberts, what’s next?
