Musk Explains Bruise On His Face: Told My Kid to ‘Go Ahead and Punch Me In The Face’
Elon Musk explained in the Oval Office next to President Donald Trump on Friday that his bruised eye was caused by his five-year-old son.
After approximately an hour into a White House event celebrating Musk’s time as a special government employee with DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) coming to an end, Musk was asked about his eye, revealing his son X, full name X Æ A-12, was the culprit. Trump presented Musk with a golden key as Musk said, “This is only the beginning” for DOGE and its mission to cut government waste.
“I was just horsing around with little X, and I said, ‘Go ahead and punch me in the face.’ And he did. Turns out even a five-year-old punching you in the in the face actually does—” Musk explained when asked about the bruise on his face by a reporter.
“That was X that did it?” Trump asked.
Musk added, “I didn’t really feel much at the time, but I guess it bruises up. But I just watched him around with the kids, basically.”
“I didn’t notice it, actually,” Trump added.
During the Friday event, which opened with Trump showing positive media coverage of his administration on a laptop, Musk took questions, but refused to engage on every topic. He shut down Fox News’ Peter Doocy when the White House correspondent asked about a New York Times report suggesting an intense drug habit on the part of Musk while he worked with DOGE.
“I think the judge just ruled against New York Times for their lies about the Russigate hoax,” Musk said. “And that they might have to give back that Pulitzer prize. That New York Times? Let’s move on!”
