NBC Denies Paying Luke Russert $500K Bonus
Page Six and its “sources” alleged Wednesday morning that NBC News had awarded 29-year-old Luke Russert, son of iconic Meet the Press host Tim Russert, a $500,000 bonus for his new gig as panelist on his father’s show. As the saying goes, whoa if true.
But about that truth thing: an NBC spokesperson told the Post, “We don’t typically comment on contracts, but in this case we feel it’s warranted: This is absolutely untrue.”

While that’s an outlandish figure, it does have precedent: Chelsea Clinton was paid a literally-incredible $600,000/yr for her NBC News gig.
Page Six claimed “’NBC Washington bureau workers are incredulous’ that under-qualified Luke’ is getting the dough.” Understandable, if true.
