New Image Shows Charleston Shooter Attending Prayer Meeting

CNN has obtained new images of the prayer meeting held at Charleston’s Emmanuel AME Church before 21-year-old Dylann Roof opened fire, including an image of the shooter himself.

The image was taken using the popular photo sharing app Snapchat and sent by one of the victims to a friend, who then passed the images on to CNN. In one image, Roof can be seen sitting at a table alongside his future victims.

According to press reports, Roof sat down for an hour praying and talking with the Emmanuel community, before announcing that he was there to kill them and opening fire.
