New Jersey Day Care Workers Allegedly Filmed Kids Fight Club
Two former employees of a New Jersey day care are facing charges stemming from videos they recorded of a Fight Club-like scenario they encouraged among the children they were responsible for.
Erica Kenny, 22, and Chanese White, 28, who were working at Lightbridge Academy in Cranford, New Jersey at the time, allegedly recorded video of themselves encouraging preschoolers and kindergartners to fight on a playground. Throughout the video, which was submitted to friends and followers via the social media app Snapchat, the two constantly made joking referenced to the film Fight Club, starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton.
“We don’t believe there were any serious injuries at this point, but we are still investigating the case,” said prosecutor Grace Park.
Officials were able to recover the 10-second video for use in their investigation after one of its Snapchat recipients recorded a copy.
