O’Reilly Revisits NWA, ‘F*ck tha Police’ After Shootings: Does Ice Cube Want Cops Harmed?
Ice Cube told TMZ recently he won’t stop performing the NWA hit “F*ck Tha Police” following multiple police shootings, and Bill O’Reilly tonight really went after him for that.
Greg Gutfeld––who admitted to O’Reilly that he enjoyed Straight Outta Compton when he was young––said that “hating cops is a stepping stone to a great career.” But, he noted, Ice Cube has played a cop in the Ride Along movies.
And then O’Reilly asked if Ice Cube “wants police officers to be harmed.” Bernard McGuirk said no, but said it’s “beyond disgusting” that Ice Cube wouldn’t stop performing the song.
O’Reilly said it’s just “very disturbing” that not just Ice Cube, but the record label, are fine with the song still being distributed. (“Fuck tha Police” came out in 1988.)
McGuirk also pointed out that Ice Cube surely relies on police protection in his own life, so he concluded he’s a hypocrite.
