Pawn Stars Host: I Lost Support After Endorsing Rubio

The last time CNN reporter Chris Moody did something silly in Las Vegas, it involved Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley and a really bad Hunter S. Thompson impersonation. This time, thankfully, he simply played himself during a quick interview with Pawn Stars‘ host Rick Harrison, who claimed his endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio cost him business.

Moody and Harrison began with a discussion of why the latter had chosen Rubio, and how it all went down. This inspired Moody to ask whether the reality television host had ever been involved in Republican politics before.

“I suddenly became famous and I was the one willing to throw my career away to endorse a Republican,” said Harrison, adding: “When you endorse a Republican, everyone sort of frowns on you.”

Curious, Moody asked if Harrison had personally experienced any frowning for his professed Republicanism.

“To a degree, yeah,” he said. “There have been some endorsements that didn’t happen.”
