‘Read Your Constitution!’ National Geographic Series Tapes Drunk Ron Paul Supporter
It was a dark, big mooned night when National Geographic’s Frontier Force were working to keep trouble at bay during Miles City, Montana’s annual “Cowboy Mardi Gras” when they came across this sprited fellow. He’s drunk but well versed in the Constitution. And as it turns out, he’s a Ron Paul fan!
“Read your constitution,” he yells again and again — to the police, to the camera crew, and to not really anyone in particular — as the two police officers wait patiently for him to submit to a breathalyzer test. “The constitution is your right,” he argues, defending his right to be drunk, to refuse the test, or maybe just his liberty in general.
Only after quizzing the police officers on the First Amendment, and reminding them that “they took a vow to your constituion and you don’t even know what it is,” does he submit; and when he does, he blows a .31, far exceeding the legal limit.
And so, heeding his personal responsibility, he lets the police officers arrest him, yelling all the while: “Constitution, read it and live by it” and “Ron Paul 2012.”
