Ricky Gervais To Host The Golden Globes Again

British comedian Ricky Gervais is hosting the Golden Globe awards once again, our sister site Gossip Cop is reporting, citing a source involved with the show.

You may remember that, last year, Gervais found himself at the center of a media firestorm after poking fun at several high-profile celebrities throughout the show and particularly during his monologue. Shortly following, Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk said the actor and comedian’s jokes “definitely crossed the line.”

Then, back in February, there was some chatter that Gervais would be invited to host the show once again, prompted by an interview he had in Heat magazine. And, lo and behold: He’s back!

The 2012 Golden Globes will take place on January 15th.
