Sen. Landrieu: ‘I Would Support’ Obamacare Again

Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA), considered one of the most vulnerable Democrats in 2014 due to the Affordable Care Act’s troubled rollout, told WAFB in New Orleans on Thursday that she would vote for the bill all over again.

“As I said, the bill itself has very good concepts, and yes, I would support it again,” Landrieu said. “But that doesn’t excuse the poor rollout of what should have happened. There should not have been a glitch in the software.”

Though she has continued to support the bill overall, Landrieu was one of ten senators to call for a delay in the individual mandate in late October, and she partnered with fellow Senator Joe Manchin (D-WA) on a proposal to allow people to keep canceled insurance policies in November.
