SNL Crushes Republican Debate in Cold Open

This week’s Saturday Night Live kicked off with a cold open dedicated to Tuesday night’s Republican debate on CNN. The sketch show’s troupe had a tall order to fill in distinguishing their skit from the real thing.

They managed to pull it off with comical riffs on Donald Trump‘s bullying of Jeb Bush, Ben Carson‘s drowsy persona, and Rand Paul‘s tough-to-detect existence.
